Abstract:

A new Rothmannia species (Rubiaceae-Gardenieae-Gardeniinae) named Rothmannia ebamutensis found in Banyang Mbo (Cameroon) is described. This species is characterized by its fruit with ten small ribs and covered with small white lenticels. The pedicel of the flower is 50-60 mm long. The species is limited to the submontane rain forest at the south-western part of Cameroon.
