A new species belonging to the genus Bertiera (subgenus Bertierella, Rubiaceae)
from West Central Africa (Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon) is described.
Its diagnostic characters are elucidated, its taxonomic affi nities are
discussed and notes on its conservation status are provided.
